Mimi Doyo, 2026, “Spam Plant”, Acrylic on Canvas

Mimi Doyo

Mimi Doyo (b. 1999) is a Filipino-American artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her interdisciplinary practice combines painting, poetry, and journaling to explore memory, family, and the layered spaces of home. Working primarily in acrylic, Doyo creates paintings that preserve fleeting moments of everyday life, transforming ordinary scenes into quiet reflections on love, belonging, and the passage of time.

Drawing from her personal archive of photographs, family albums, and journals, Doyo paints domestic interiors, backyard gardens, shared meals, and familiar objects—including houseplants, cans of SPAM, mahjong games, and well-worn shoes by the door. These intimate details become symbols of care, migration, and the quiet rituals that shape family life across generations.

Color plays a central role in her practice. Through transparent glazes, layered washes, and textured surfaces built with palette knives, she shifts the emotional atmosphere of each painting, allowing memory to feel fluid rather than fixed. Fragments of handwritten poetry and journal entries are often embedded beneath the paint or scratched into the surface, creating traces of personal history that invite viewers to slow down and look more closely.

Beverly Morrison, “Floral Vessel no.120”, Black Stoneware

Beverly Morrison

Beverly Morrison is a Los Angeles-based sculptor whose work embodies a deep reverence for nature, movement, and raw materiality. With over 20 years of expertise in clay, she creates sculptural works that evoke both tranquility and dynamism, drawing inspiration from organic forms, natural textures, and Eastern philosophies of imperfection.

Morrison’s process is a dialogue between material and maker, an intuitive “sculptural dance” where each piece develops its own presence. Her signature aesthetic—defined by expressive gestures, tactile surfaces, and evocative lines—captures fleeting moments of energy and stillness. She meticulously crafts her own clay bodies, fostering an intimate relationship with the medium from inception to completion. Her works, often described as Modern Day Relics, meditate on time, earth, and impermanence.

Morrison’s work is held in private and public collections internationally and is regularly placed within thoughtfully designed interiors through collaborations with interior designers, showrooms, galleries, and the global design trade. Her sculptures invite quiet reflection and a deeper connection to material, atmosphere, and the natural world.
