“I hope that the Blue Roof residency program will provide the space, time, and resources to step away from daily routines, the political climate, and to gain a "critical distance". I seek an environment that fosters deep research, material exploration, and conceptual development -allowing me to refine existing ideas and take creative risks.
Right now, after a significant period of destructive war that shook the ground under our feet, a Residency would be an opportunity to pause, reassess, rethink and recreate art from a new perspective . Engaging with a diverse community of artists and curators would open up valuable dialogues, offering fresh perspectives that challenge and expand my artistic approach. Collaboration and exchange are integral to my process, and I see a residency as a place for meaningful connections and intellectual growth.”

Artist Statement:
If there is one common thread that runs through my works, it is the flimsiness of perception and, accordingly, the unstable status of reality. Using illusions, shadows, reflections, and filters, I explore the interplay between what is revealed and what remains hidden in visual and material culture.
I investigate the narratives we inhabit, uncovering cultural “ghosts” —hidden layers of meaning that shape perception and memory. My work confronts repressed histories, exposing how they distort our present understanding. Often, this involves deconstructing cultural and architectural archetypes and their ideological content. By recontextualizing charged historical symbols within technological frameworks, I challenge their assumed meanings, presenting them anew for reflection and critique.
Beyond the physical, I engage with the invisible dimensions of space - historical, cultural, and political contexts that shape how we experience environments. The viewer’s experience is central to my installations, deliberately challenging sensory perception, spatial awareness, and material presence. By destabilizing the familiar, I create immersive, participatory spaces where tangible and intangible elements merge. These encounters go beyond visual experience, encouraging deeper engagement with the ways we perceive and interpret reality.
